Getting your message across

Every organisation needs to communicate – to get its message across. Your published materials – written or web content – are ambassadors for your organisation.

If your publication is written in good clear English and is easy to understand it will generate confidence and a positive response among your readers – whether they are customers, sponsors, staff or the general public.

Calling on the skills of a professional wordsmith is a cost-effective way of helping you to get it right.

Why use a professional?

Professionally edited material creates a better impression with your readers and customers. It’s more likely to prompt the response you want from them - whether it’s to act on your information, come to your event, send you their ideas, recognise your achievements, or buy your product.

Free up the time of whoever writes, checks and edits your written materials – it may even be you! They may be an expert in their job but may not be skilled with words: why use their valuable time doing unskilled editing when you can pay a professional to do an expert job instead?

Computer spellcheckers are a godsend but don’t have divine powers – your spellchecker doesn’t know that you’re writing about your managers rather than your mangers. We do! A cautionary tale...

Make sure the words are as good as the design - too often brilliant design is let down by text which is in poor English or contains inconsistencies of grammar, style, punctuation and spelling which are a turn-off for readers. We can make sure that your words work well on the Web.

Eye halve a spelling chequer
It came with my pea sea
It plainly marques for my revue
Miss takes I kin knot sea.
Eye strike a quay and type a word
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong or write
It shows me strait a weigh.
As soon as a miss take is maid
It nose bee fore two long
And I can put the error rite
Its rare lea ever wrong.
Eye have run this poem threw it

It's letter perfect awl the weigh
